On January 1, 2018, the Christian Community of Quasi-Parish Medalla Milagrosa (Miraculous Medal) in Talisay, Hilongos, has witnessed the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Church.

The event, accompanied by a heavy rain of the typhoon “Agaton”, was presided by Most Rev. Precioso D. Cantillas, SDB, D.D, the Bishop of Maasin Diocese. The community  hopes to celebrate New Year 2018 in the new Church.
