After the Mass, there was a short program that included the cutting of a ribbon for the new art exhibit prepared by the KDFI girls. The exhibit featured paintings, drawings, and other art that expressed the girls’ experiences and emotions.
The program also included a memorial tribute to the late Fr. Joseph Butlig, SCJ and Ms. Vivian Yecyec, who were instrumental in the running and development of the KDFI.
In his closing remarks, Fr. Ronald Basco, SCJ, the current director of the KDFI, thanked the staff, beneficiaries, and supporters for their continued commitment to the foundation’s mission. He also expressed his hope that the KDFI will continue to provide a safe and supportive environment for the victims of sexual abuse.
