On May 31, 2022, on the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the SCJ Novice, Junas S. Malana, of Kananga, Leyte, made his commitment to God in the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. By the profession of three vows: Chastity, Poverty, and Obedience, he declared his will and readiness to follow Jesus more closely. He was preparing for this moment for the whole of last year under the guidance of Fr. Indra Pamungkas, SCJ, the Novice Master,

The ceremony of the first profession of vows was held at the Novitiate Fr. Dehon in Lower Lucoban, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur Province, and was presided by Fr. Lukas Hadi Siswo Sasmito, SCJ, the Regional Superior, who also accepted the vows.

The celebration was attended by SCJs from different communities, religious sisters, and friends.
