On November 26, 2023, the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart (SCJ) commemorated the 59th death anniversary of Bishop Joseph Albert Wittebols, SCJ, and six other missionaries who were tragically killed during the Simba revolution in Congo in 1964. This somber occasion marked the SCJ Memorial Day, a day dedicated to remembering and honoring the SCJ martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the Gospel and the Kingdom of God.
