On the morning of April 27, 2025, during the celebration of the 9:00 A.M. Holy Mass, the Medalla Milagrosa Parish community in Talisay, Hilongos gathered joyfully to witness a significant and blessed moment—the installation of their new Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph D. Muego, SCJ.

The installation rites were presided over by Rev. Msgr. Oscar A. Cadayona, VG, Vicar General of the Diocese of Maasin and Executive Pastor of the Maasin Cathedral. With deep gratitude to God, the faithful welcomed Fr. Muego as the third Parish Priest of Medalla Milagrosa Parish, continuing the mission of bringing Christ’s love to the people of Talisay and the surrounding communities.

Fr. Joseph Muego, SCJ succeeds Fr. Marlo N. Piloton, SCJ, and follows in the footsteps of the parish’s previous shepherds who faithfully served since its foundation. His installation marks a new chapter in the parish’s growing journey of faith, service, and devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.

The solemn celebration included the reading of the official letter of appointment, the profession of faith, and the renewal of the commitment to pastoral service. In his message, Msgr. Cadayona emphasized the importance of unity between the parish priest and the faithful, urging everyone to support Fr. Muego with their prayers, cooperation, and love.

The entire parish community gives thanks to God for this new beginning and entrusts Fr. Muego’s ministry to the guidance and protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
