From June 9 to 13, 2025, the Priests of the Sacred Heart (SCJ) of the Philippine Region participated in a Basic Orientation Workshop on Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults at the Sacred Heart Spirituality Center in Lucoban, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur. The seminar was conducted by the Catholic Safeguarding Institute, led by Msgr. Ramon Masculino, Jr., and emphasized the Church’s pastoral and moral responsibility to protect the most vulnerable members of society.
To be a Pentecost People means to live each day in the power of the Holy Spirit — not in fear, but in faith; not in selfishness, but in self-giving love. The Spirit transforms us from within and equips us to face the challenges of the world with hope, courage, and joy. Pentecost is not just a feast of the past, but an invitation to a new way of life, here and now.
The Ascension is not about Jesus leaving us. Rather, it marks the beginning of His presence in a new way — through the Holy Spirit, through the sacraments, and through the life of the Church. Christ is no longer limited by time or space. He is with us always.
