Prayer is not just speaking—it is entering into a deep relationship with God. In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus teaches His disciples the “Our Father” and encourages them to ask, seek, and knock. He wants us to pray with confidence, persistence, and boldness.
Abraham interceded for a sinful city—not once, but again and again—because he trusted in God’s mercy. Saint Paul reminds us that we are reconciled to God through Christ. And Jesus tells us that the Father gives not just what we want, but what we truly need—His Holy Spirit.
Like George Müller, who prayed for decades, or the banana plant that takes long to grow but bears fruit suddenly, prayer requires time, patience, and trust. Even when we don’t see answers right away, God is listening and working.
Let us be bold in prayer. Let us not give up. Let us trust the heart of the Father.
