On January 9, 2026, the faithful of Jesus Nazareno Parish in Dansolihon came together with joy and deep devotion to celebrate the Feast of Señor Jesús Nazareno, one of the most cherished religious celebrations in the community. United in prayer, the devotees honored Jesus Christ, who lovingly carried the Cross for the salvation of all.
The feast was the culmination of nine days of novena, a time of prayerful preparation that helped parishioners reflect on faith, sacrifice, and complete trust in the Lord. The image of Señor Jesús Nazareno continues to touch hearts, giving strength to the weary and hope to those facing difficulties in life.
The highlight of the celebration was the Solemn Holy Mass, presided over by Rev. Monsignor Perseus Cabunoc, SSJV, the Parish Priest of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Pueblo, Cagayan de Oro. In his homily, Monsignor Cabunoc reminded the faithful that Jesus walks with them in their daily struggles and lovingly invites them to follow Him with humility, love, and perseverance.
Parishioners, families, and visitors from nearby communities took part actively in the celebration. The liturgy was marked by reverent prayers, inspiring hymns, and a strong spirit of unity. The feast became a moment of grace that strengthened the bonds of the parish and renewed the commitment of the faithful to live according to the teachings of Christ.
The Feast of Señor Jesús Nazareno in Dansolihon remains a living and vibrant tradition of faith. It is a sacred time of thanksgiving, prayer, and spiritual renewal, reminding everyone that Jesus the Nazareno continues to guide, strengthen, and accompany His people on their journey of faith.
