Dehonian Communicators Meeting in Rome

From January 28 to February 4, 2026, members of the Dehonian International Communication Commission gathered at the Casa Generalizia in Rome for an eight-day conference focused on prayer, reflection, formation, and strategic planning. The meeting brought together representatives from SCJ entities around the world, including Fr. Julius Della Peña Socorro, SCJ, from the Philippines, and served to strengthen fraternity and renew a shared commitment to the Dehonian mission through communication.

The Gospel for this Sunday presents the Beatitudes, one of the most important teachings of Jesus. Sitting on the mountain, Jesus looks at the crowd and teaches them a new way of seeing life. What He proclaims does not follow the usual logic of the world. Instead of praising power, wealth, or success, Jesus calls blessed those who are poor, meek, merciful, and pure of heart.
