
The Gospel of the Transfiguration reveals a moment of light in the midst of a journey that leads toward suffering. Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up a high mountain. There His face shines, His clothes become radiant, and the disciples glimpse His divine glory. This vision is not given to amaze them, but to strengthen them. Soon they will witness His agony and death. The light on the mountain prepares them for the darkness of Calvary.
