“Let them grow together until the harvest.” (Mt 13:30)

We live in a world that wants quick solutions. We are often tempted to judge others, condemn their mistakes, and expect God to remove all evil immediately.

But Jesus tells a different story.

In the parable of the wheat and the weeds, God reveals Himself as patient and merciful. He sees what we cannot see. While we often judge people by their past, God sees their future. He never gives up on those who still have the chance to change.

Today’s readings remind us that God’s greatest power is not punishment but mercy. As the Book of Wisdom says, “Though you are master of might, you judge with clemency.”

Before looking for the weeds in the lives of others, Jesus invites us to look into our own hearts. There, too, wheat and weeds grow side by side. The Holy Spirit patiently helps us grow in holiness, one small step at a time.

This week, let us be less eager to judge and more willing to love. Let us trust God’s timing, practice patience, and remember that small acts of kindness, forgiveness, and faith can quietly transform the world—just like the mustard seed and the yeast.

May we become the good wheat that bears fruit for the Kingdom of God.
