This Sunday, Jesus gives us a challenging message:

“Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”

Peter wanted Jesus to be a Messiah of victory without suffering. He wanted the crown without the cross. Jesus reminds him: “You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do.”
