In the Gospel today, Jesus reveals the beginning of His mission. He proclaims hope and salvation, fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy. Jesus brings healing, freedom, and good news to the poor and oppressed.
In the Year of Hope, we are called to continue His mission. Hope is active trust in God and sharing His love with others. We can share hope by: Encouraging and uplifting those in despair. Living the Gospel through service and action. And Trusting in God through prayer and faith.
Hope is here and now because Christ is with us. Let us be messengers of hope to a world in need.
On January 9, 2025, Jesus Nazareno Parish in Dansolihon, Cagayan de Oro City, joyously commemorated its annual feast day in honor of Señor Jesus Nazareno. This year’s celebration was made even more special with the blessing of the newly restructured Parish Formation House and Rectory. The event reflected the parish’s deep faith, commitment to spiritual growth, and dedication to serving its community.
The Feast of the Epiphany reminds us that Jesus is revealed as the Savior of all people, not just the chosen few. Like the Magi, we are invited to follow the true light of Christ and offer Him our best gifts. It challenges us to avoid the false stars of worldly distractions and respond to Christ with faith, love, and action.
