Dehonian Summer Youth Mission 2023
After three years of hiatus due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the Dehonian Youth Missionaries are graced to continue their annual Summer Youth Mission that started on July 14-23, 2023 with the purpose of being with the various communities, sharing and collaborating in building a fortified faith in Christ. Before the mission proper, a three-day stay-in-Umol at Dansolihon Parish was facilitated by the seminarians sharing their knowledge about the SCJ Congregation, the Youth, and Community Life. A Journey of Preparation Towards a Lifetime Commitment
The Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Asia are currently holding their annual one-month final vows program. The program is being hosted by the SCJ Philippines Region and is taking place in two different locations: Father Dehon Novitiate in Locuban, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur from June 4–17, and Sacred Heart Formation House Community in Cagayan de Oro City from June 18–July 1. Celebrating the Feast of St. Isidore in Dumalinao
On May 15, 2023, the SCJ parish in Dumalinao celebrated its 66th Patronal Feast of St. Isidore, the Farmer. The Holy Eucharist started at 9:45 am. The main celebrant was the Bishop of Pagadian, Most Rev. Ronald I. Lunas, D.D. The bishop was joined by some SCJs, from the Zamboanga del Sur area and from Cagayan de Oro. The celebration of the Eucharist was followed by a common meal and a cultural program.
