In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells a surprising parable about a dishonest steward who, when caught wasting his master’s goods, cleverly arranges to secure his future. He reduces the debts of his master’s debtors so that they might welcome him later. Surprisingly, the master praises him—not for his dishonesty—but for his prudence.
The Regional Celebration of the 100th Death Anniversary of the Servant of God, Fr. On August 4, 2025, the memorial of St. John Mary Vianney, patron of parish priests, the formation community of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (SCJ) in Cagayan de Oro joyfully celebrated the Acceptance of New Candidates into the congregation. This meaningful event took place during the community concelebrated Mass, presided over by Fr. Ronald M. Basco, SCJ, Master of Aspirants and Superior of the formation house.
On August 2, 2025, the Lay Dehonians from the Zamboanga Peninsula gathered at the Fr. Dehon Novitiate for a special formation day focused on the Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the beginnings of the SCJ mission in the Philippines, and the inspiring life of Venerable Fr. Leo John Dehon.
On June 27, 2025, the Cagayan de Oro Formation Community of the Priests of the Sacred Heart (SCJ) joyfully celebrated their patronal feast, the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This day is very important for the Dehonian Family, as it is a time of spiritual renewal, thanksgiving, and coming together as a community centered on the merciful love of Jesus Christ.
