It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we bid farewell to the late Bishop Ronald “Bong” Lunas, who departed this world on January 2, 2024. Bishop Lunas, a cherished friend of the SCJs (Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus), passed away at 57 years old at the Southern Philippines Medical Center Heart Institute in Davao City, where he had been undergoing intensive care following a recent heart bypass operation. Celebrating the Feast of St. Isidore in Dumalinao
On May 15, 2023, the SCJ parish in Dumalinao celebrated its 66th Patronal Feast of St. Isidore, the Farmer. The Holy Eucharist started at 9:45 am. The main celebrant was the Bishop of Pagadian, Most Rev. Ronald I. Lunas, D.D. The bishop was joined by some SCJs, from the Zamboanga del Sur area and from Cagayan de Oro. The celebration of the Eucharist was followed by a common meal and a cultural program.
