The Holy Cross Parish (Parokya ng Banal na Krus) in Sitio Bukal, Barangay Tandang Kutyo, Tanay, Rizal (Diocese of Antipolo) has a long history of the devotion to the Holy Cross, the symbol of our salvation. Every second Monday of May, many people would gather there to celebrate the titular feast of the chapel not excluding the day of elections, which is also held on this day. The particular date has a special meaning for the local people as it commemorates the date of finding again the cross after it disappeared from the chapel in mysterious circumstances.
This year, the Parish Feast was celebrated on May 14, 2018, which was the day of Philippine Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections. The two main elements of the celebration were procession with the Holy Cross and Holy Eucharist presided by the Bishop of the Diocese of Antipolo, Most Rev. Francisco M. De Leon, DD..
The parish was officially erected on June 26, 2016, and was entrusted to the Priests of the Sacred Heart. As of now, the parish is run by three SCJs: Fr. Marcial Aguirre, SCJ, Fr. Sergio Matumoto, SCJ and Dn. Nathaniel Robilla, SCJ.
On May 13, 2018, on the Feast of Ascension and Our Lady of Fatima, nine young men (three Filipino and six Vietnamese) were officially accepted to the Novitiate. In this way, they started their direct preparation for the first profession of vows that will be held on June 28, 2019. During this thirteen month journey,under the supervision of the Novice Master Fr. Indra Pamungkas, SCJ, they will learn many things about the nature of religious and community life, the Founder, the Congregation and most of all about the vows they will be going to profess.
On May 13, 2018, the St. Isidore Parish in Kumalarang celebrated its anticipated Feast of the Patron Saint, which actually falls on May 15. The main celebrant was the Bishop of Ipil, Most Rev. Julius S. Tonel, D.D., who also administered to the 171 young people the Sacrament of Confirmation . The celebration was attended by Fr. Khoa Nguyen from Cagayan de Oro.

On May 10, 2018, two scholastics: Fra. Victor Lingasa and Fra. Julius Socorro, have renewed their religious vows of chastity, poverty and obedience in the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart. The vows were accepted by Fr. Rico O. Lapinig, SCJ, the first councilor of the Philippine Region. The ceremony was held at the Sacred Heart Formation House in Cagayan de Oro City and was attended by the SCJs from neighbor communities, family members and friends.
