The death anniversary of Fr. Dehon in the Immaculate Concepcion Parish in Aluba is celebrated yearly on the closest Sunday to August 12. This year it was August 9, 2020, and was called Father Dehon’s Sunday.

On this occasion, tarpaulins with pictures and Dehon’s quotations were printed and posted.

The homily was dedicated to the life and legacy of the Founder. Pictures with prayers, brochures about life, and mission of Fr. Dehon were distributed after all Sunday Masses.

Parish youth baked heart-shaped cookies that were shared with the faithful.

Parishioners were invited for an afternoon film showing about the life of Fr. Dehon prepared by Fr. Francis Pupkowski, SCJ,  and input by Fr. Janusz Burzawa, SCJ, the parish priest and coordinator of the Lay Dehonians group.

Considering these difficult times under the pandemic of coronavirus restrictions the activities were very satisfying.
