SCJ Fest Voc: A Journey to the Lord

Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines (October 12-13, 2024) – The Priests of the Sacred Heart (SCJ) Vocation Promotion Team and Seminarians are currently hosting Fest Voc, a vocation awareness seminar at the Sacred Heart Formation House.

This two-day event gathers young individuals from various parishes in Northern Mindanao, including Immaculate Conception Parish in Aluba, Jesus Nazareno Parish in Dansolihon, St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Macanhan, Nuestra Señora Virgen del Rosario in Consolacion, and Santo Niño Parish in Bacolod, Lanao del Norte.

With the theme “San ka Punta? To the Lord!” (Where are you heading? To the Lord!), Fest Voc invites participants to reflect on their life’s direction and consider following Jesus Christ. Through prayer, reflection, sharing, and guidance from the SCJ community, participants are encouraged to discern God’s call for their lives.

A similar event is also being held at the Novitiate Fr. Dehon in Lower Lucoban, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur, showcasing the SCJ community’s commitment to reaching out to young people across different regions.

Fest Voc 2024 is more than just an event—it is a celebration of faith, a gathering of hope, and a witness to the enduring call of God to serve. As participants respond to the question, “San ka Punta?” they are reminded that the ultimate destination of their journey is always to the Lord.
