On June 15, 2026, the Sacred Heart Formation House celebrated the Rite of Acceptance, a significant milestone in the vocational journey of four young men who have begun their formation as aspirants of the Priests of the Sacred Heart (Dehonians).
The candidates—Jay Mark P. Rosca, Regie E. Gomonit, Rodel Mark F. Perez, and Sherlock Jacob P. Enriquez—were formally presented to the community by the Formation Director, Fr. Rechie C. Gier, SCJ. During the celebration, they publicly expressed their desire to enter the formation program and to deepen their discernment of God’s call in their lives.
On behalf of the Congregation, Fr. Ronald M. Basco, SCJ, Superior of the community and Formator of the Aspirants, accepted the candidates into the formation program. In the presence of the formation community, he welcomed them and encouraged them to embrace this time of discernment with generosity, openness, and trust in God’s grace.
The Rite of Acceptance marks the beginning of a new stage in the candidates’ vocational journey. Through prayer, study, community life, and spiritual accompaniment, they will seek to grow in their relationship with Christ and discern more clearly His call for their future.
The celebration concluded with a special prayer of blessing, entrusting the new aspirants to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and invoking the guidance of the Holy Spirit upon them as they begin this important period of formation.
The entire formation community rejoices in welcoming these four young men and assures them of its continued prayers and support.
