On this Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we are invited once again to contemplate a Heart that is open, wounded, and burning with love. In his message for this year, our General Superior, Fr. Carlos Luis Suárez Codorniú, SCJ, reminds us that this Heart is not closed in on itself, but turned toward the wounds of humanity. It is the Heart of Christ who sees, feels compassion, and responds.
SCJ Philippine Region Holds Workshop on Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults

From June 9 to 13, 2025, the Priests of the Sacred Heart (SCJ) of the Philippine Region participated in a Basic Orientation Workshop on Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults at the Sacred Heart Spirituality Center in Lucoban, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur. The seminar was conducted by the Catholic Safeguarding Institute, led by Msgr. Ramon Masculino, Jr., and emphasized the Church’s pastoral and moral responsibility to protect the most vulnerable members of society.
