The celebration of the 180th Birth Anniversary of Fr. Leo Dehon began with a special nine-day novena prayer on March 5, 2023

Fr. Leo Dehon, also known as Ven. Fr. Leo John Dehon was a French Roman Catholic priest who founded the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (SCJ) congregation in 1878. He was born on March 14, 1843, and died on August 12, 1925. SCJ Philippines Regional Assembly 2023

“Availability and Generosity to God, to the Congregation, and to the People” was the theme of the SCJ Philippines Regional Assembly 2023, held at the Sacred Heart Formation House in Cagayan de Oro City from February 27 to March 3, 2023. It began with a reflection on the theme led by Fr. Rechie C. Gier, SCJ, followed by a sharing in groups, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, personal confession, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by Fr. Candido S. Bayron, SCJ.
