The Sacred Heart Formation House in Cagayan de Oro City celebrated the culmination of the Month of the Holy Rosary and prepared for the Solemnity of All Saints on October 30, 2026. The evening brought the formation community together for prayer, fellowship, and creative presentations highlighting the lives and witness of inspiring figures in the Church.
The celebration began at 5:45 p.m. with the Holy Rosary, followed by a shared supper that provided an opportunity for fellowship and strengthened the bonds of fraternity within the community.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the saints, prepared by the seminarians. This year’s presentations featured inspiring personalities, including Blessed Martino Capelli, SCJ, and Blessed Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. Through their creative portrayals, the seminarians shared the stories, virtues, and contributions of these remarkable witnesses of faith.
Blessed Martino Capelli, a Dehonian priest who gave his life during the Second World War, offered a powerful example of courage, self-giving, and fidelity to Christ, even in the face of danger. Blessed Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, remembered for his outstanding preaching and effective communication of the Gospel, demonstrated the importance of using one’s gifts and talents to bring Christ closer to people.
Their lives remind us that holiness takes many forms. It is expressed through courageous service, faithful preaching, generosity, and a willingness to give oneself for others. For the seminarians, preparing and presenting these figures was more than an artistic activity; it was an opportunity to discover how the example of the holy men and women of the Church can inspire their own journey of faith and vocation.
As the community concluded its October celebration, the message was clear: holiness is not reserved for a few extraordinary people. It is a call addressed to everyone, inviting us to follow Christ faithfully in our daily lives and to make His love visible through our words and actions.
The evening ended in a spirit of gratitude and fraternity, with the inspiring reminder that the saints are not merely figures from the past but companions on our journey of faith and models of a life fully given to God and others.
