Who do you say that I am?

Jesus asks this question to Peter—and He asks it of us too.

Peter answers: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus then gives Peter the keys of the Kingdom. A key is a sign of trust and responsibility. It is meant to open doors.

We also receive many “keys” from God:
🔑 the key of our words — to encourage rather than hurt;
🔑 the key of forgiveness — to help someone begin again;
🔑 the key of kindness — to bring light to someone’s day;
🔑 the key of our example — to lead others closer to Christ.

So the question is not only, “Who is Jesus?” but:

“Who is Jesus in my life?”

If Christ is truly at the center, our faith should become visible in the way we live, speak, forgive, serve, and love.

And when we become tired or worried, let us remember: the Church belongs to Christ. We must do our part faithfully, but we do not have to carry everything alone.

This week, let us:

🔑 Put Christ first.
🔑 Open one door for someone in need.
🔑 Use our influence to serve, not control.
🔑 Build people up instead of breaking them down.
🔑 Do our part and trust God with the rest.

The key we carry is not a privilege. It is a trust.

May our lives become keys that open doors of faith, mercy, hope, forgiveness, and love, helping others encounter Christ.
