Heavenly Father, Lord of history and the source of all authority,
We come before You in this time of national discernment,
as our country prepares to choose new leaders to serve the Filipino people.
We thank You for the gift of democracy,
for the freedom to vote, and for the right to participate in shaping our future.
May we use this freedom with wisdom, guided not by personal gain or empty promises,
but by truth, justice, and love for the common good.
Christ is the Good Shepherd who calls His sheep by name. On this Vocation Sunday and eve of the national elections, we are reminded that every vocation and every act of leadership must be rooted in love, truth, and service. The Church needs shepherds, and society needs servant-leaders. May we all have the courage to respond to God’s call and to vote with wisdom and prayer.
From May 1-4, 2025, the Sacred Heart Formation House in Aluba, Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro City, hosted a Media Assembly themed “A Heart for the World: Pilgrims of Hope. Living Fr. Dehon’s Legacy in the Age of Innovation.” Over 70 participants from various SCJ parishes and apostolates, accompanied by their assistant parish priests, gathered to explore the intersection of faith and modern communication.
On the morning of April 27, 2025, during the celebration of the 9:00 A.M. Holy Mass, the Medalla Milagrosa Parish community in Talisay, Hilongos gathered joyfully to witness a significant and blessed moment—the installation of their new Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph D. Muego, SCJ.
Divine Mercy Sunday invites us to reflect on God’s boundless love shown through Christ’s Resurrection. Jesus greets His disciples with peace and tenderly addresses Thomas’s doubts. The glorified Christ in Revelation reminds us that mercy triumphs over all fear. We are called, like the first Christians and Pope Francis, to live this mercy in action. Trusting in Jesus, we become bearers of His healing and compassion.
