Seeking a deeper understanding of one’s calling to serve God and His people is a journey that often requires guidance and reflection.
On April 20 and 21, 2024, the San Lorenzo Formation Center in Ampayon, Butuan City, welcomed 15 eager participants from the Diocese of Butuan and Tandag. The seminar provided a platform for young men to explore their calling and discover the various facets of religious life. The Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Asia are currently holding their annual one-month final vows program. The program is being hosted by the SCJ Philippines Region and is taking place in two different locations: Father Dehon Novitiate in Locuban, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur from June 4–17, and Sacred Heart Formation House Community in Cagayan de Oro City from June 18–July 1. 
On May 31, 2023, the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Fr. John Wen Liang made his First Profession of vows as a member of the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (SCJ). The ceremony occurred in the Novitiate Fr. Dehon in Locuban, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur. Fr. John professed his vows of poverty, chastity and obedience for one year in the presence of Fr. Lukas Hadi Siswo Sasmito, SCJ, the Regional Superior of the Philippine Region, who presided over the Eucharistic celebration and gave a homily on the meaning and significance of religious profession. He reminded Fr. John that professing vows is a personal act and a communal one, as he becomes a member of a religious family with a charism and a mission. He also encouraged him to imitate Mary’s visitation to Elizabeth as a sign of God’s presence and love for those in need. 
On May 31, 2022, on the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the SCJ Novice, Junas S. Malana, of Kananga, Leyte, made his commitment to God in the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. By the profession of three vows: Chastity, Poverty, and Obedience, he declared his will and readiness to follow Jesus more closely. He was preparing for this moment for the whole of last year under the guidance of Fr. Indra Pamungkas, SCJ, the Novice Master,
